Wine Competition

An opportunity for wineries and amateurs across the country to submit their creations to be judged in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains.Commercial wines must use 70% North Carolina Grown Grapes. The amateur competition is open to all states. A complete entry is comprised of three (3) 750ml bottles, or the equivalent for commercial entries, and two (2) 750ml bottles, or the equivalent for amateur entries. The winning wines will be displayed at the Grand Tasting Event.

A watercolor painting workshop hosted by local artist Norma Suddreth. Norma was born in the foothills of North Carolina and has won numerous regional and national awards. She also continues to lecture and teach workshops at her studios in Lenoir and Blowing Rock. Celebrate your creativity by using watercolors to paint a glimpse of The Blue Ridge Food and Wine Festival. All supplies are furnished, and you will leave with a painting to frame.

The Pinnacle of the Blue Ridge Food and Wine Festival!

An assortment of over 100 wines will be available for tasting from all over the world. There will also be live music all day with Puddingstone, a six piece band that blends ancient and modern instruments for a truely unique and beautiful sound.
Shuttles will be available to transport patrons to parking areas, local shopping, dining, cooking classes, “Fire on the Rock,” and the many other activities scheduled throughout the day.

Todd Wright, a virtuoso saxophonist is an ambassador of Jazz for Western North Carolina.
